At a early age I knew and wanted "TOBE" a full time artist. However college, a drafting career, raising a family, going back to college, and becoming a successful educator kept the "TOBE An Artist" at bay. In 1992 I enrolled in art classes and my creativity flourished. I knew I was meeting my artist once again.
Four years ago two friends and I were midway through Julia Cameron's book "The Artist's Way." I made a commitment to myself in the presence of my friends I would be painting full time in 5 years. At that three year mark, I was teaching school age children full time and painting commission work on the weekends. When tragically I was involved in a motor vehicle accident which caused me to leave my job permanently.
During the healing period God gave me some hopeful wisdom. Life was not ending but beginning. 2006 the fork in the road was before me. I also chose the road less traveled. March 2007 I started painting full time forty-four years later.
The "Road Less Traveled" sadly for many leave their dream behind never "TOBE" traveled.
